Ghost Mode

Where to find it: Manage → Users → user menu → Ghost mode

Ghost mode lets an administrator temporarily view the dashboard exactly as another user sees it, including that person’s company, content, and permissions.

Who Can Ghost Into Whom

A senior administrator can ghost into any user.

An administrator can ghost into users within their access (other administrators, regular users, and viewers), but not into a senior administrator.

The Ghost mode option appears in a user’s menu only when you’re allowed to ghost into that person.

Using Ghost Mode

When you ghost into a user, the dashboard behaves as if you were them: you see their company, their content, and only what their permissions allow. A Stop ghosting banner stays at the top of every page so it’s always clear you’re viewing as someone else. Click it to return to your own account at any time.

Important While ghosting, anything you do happens as that user. Use it to look and verify rather than to make changes on their behalf, and stop ghosting as soon as you’re done.

Best Practices

Use it to see what they see. Ghosting is the quickest way to confirm a user’s access or reproduce an issue they’ve reported.

Watch for the banner. The Stop ghosting banner confirms you’re in ghost mode. Return to your own account when finished.
