Media Items
Where to find it: Content → Playlists → open a playlist → each row is an item
Every row in the editor is a media item: one piece of content in the playlist, with its own display time, schedule, tags, and transition. This article covers what you can set on each item and how to manage them.

Setting |
Description |
|
Preview |
A thumbnail for images and videos. Click it to open a full-size preview. |
|
Name |
The file’s display name. Changed on the file itself, not here. |
|
Duration |
How long the item is shown, in seconds. Editable for images and web content; for videos it’s fixed to the clip’s length. Must be more than zero. |
|
Visible From |
An optional start date and time. Items set to start in the future don’t count toward Time Active until then. |
|
Visible Until |
An optional end date and time. Once an item passes its end date, it’s removed from the playlist automatically. |
Note Schedules are interpreted in the playlist’s timezone, set in the editor.
Tags
Each item can carry tags: short labels used to target content on devices. Show or hide the tag panel with the Tags toggle in the header. Duplicate tags are ignored and extra spaces are trimmed automatically.
Transitions
Each item can have its own entrance and exit animation, or follow the playlist’s default. There are three modes:
|
Mode |
What it does |
|
Default |
Uses the playlist’s default transition. |
|
Preset |
A named transition that applies to both the entrance and exit. |
|
Custom |
Separate entrance and exit transitions for independent control. |
Managing Items
Each item has a small menu:
• Preview : view the item full-size.
• Edit : open the file’s own edit page (not available for ad-network items).
• Duplicate Media : add a copy of the item at the end of the list.
You can also select several items at once to duplicate or delete them together, and drag items to reorder them.
Important Deleting an item removes it from the playlist only: the original file stays in your media library and can be added again later.
Best Practices
• Use schedules for time-limited content. Visible From and Visible Until let promotions appear and retire on their own.
• Set durations that suit the content. Give viewers enough time to read or absorb each item.
• Use tags consistently. Consistent labels make content targeting more reliable.
